The trilogy no one really asked for, is coming to an end after no really saw it. Try as they might to tap into the general air of discontent regarding the economy and politics, the producers behind the “Atlas Shrugged” series couldn’t seem to rouse much interest behind their very niche base. The first movie earned a tepid $4.6 million at the box office, and the second took in even less, with $3.3 million. And in a move that Ayn Rand herself would likely have frowned upon, a Kickstarter campaign was enabled for the finale, “Atlas Shrugged: Who Is John Galt?” and the trailer is here to show where that money went. And, it didn’t end up going to much.

…presumably rather than continuing to drag out Ayn Rand’s salute to selfishness and kicking poor people to the curb, this is going to be a feature length explanation of why this trilogy has been unable to lock in a single actor to play the story’s central character.
